A little about me.
I’m Will, a UK-based founder and operator. I’ve spent most of my career in early-stage technology companies, where the work rarely fits neatly into one job title.
The background
After studying Computer Information Systems, I co-founded Billo, a digital loyalty platform, and then Tap Studio, a web development agency. Those businesses were my introduction to working across the product itself and the commercial work around it.
At Everfund, I co-founded a company building fundraising infrastructure for nonprofits and worked as COO. We raised $2.1M in pre-seed capital and built a team of nine. Alongside running the business, I developed commercial relationships with major UK nonprofit organisations.
More recently, I’ve worked in operations at Valley and Peak and led growth at Inth, a Y Combinator-backed privacy and consent infrastructure company. Across those roles, I’ve worked on pricing, sales, partnerships and customer success. The recurring lesson has been that commercial decisions and the way a team operates need to make sense together.
How I like to work
I like having responsibility for a problem and enough room to work out what it needs. That might mean deciding on a commercial approach, talking to a customer or partner, or getting into the detail of a process that isn’t working.
I enjoy moving between planning and doing, and working with people from different disciplines. I’m at my best alongside thoughtful, ambitious people who share what they know and take responsibility for their work.
